Tweezer Tops and Bottoms

Tweezer tops: two or more candles share nearly the same high after a rally — price tested resistance twice and failed to exceed. Tweezer bottoms: matching lows after a decline — support held twice.

The candles need not be adjacent in all traditions, but manual traders focus on back-to-back or closely spaced pairs with obvious matching wick extremes. Body colors can differ; the matched wicks tell the story.

Tweezers excel at equal highs/lows liquidity zones. When the second tweezer wick sweeps the first slightly then closes back, it is often a stop hunt followed by reversal — high-quality manual setup.

Entry: fade the level after confirmation — bearish close below tweezer top bodies for shorts, bullish close above tweezer bottom bodies for longs. Stops beyond the matched extremes.

Not every double top is tweezer — look for proximity within a few ticks and rejection wicks. On higher timeframes, daily tweezers at yearly levels are major events.
