On charts, liquidity manifests at obvious levels: equal highs, equal lows, round numbers, prior day high/low, trendline clusters, obvious breakout points. Retail stops and breakout orders cluster there.
Price often accelerates into liquidity to fill large institutional needs — not conspiracy, market mechanics. Manual traders mark liquidity before price arrives.
Buy-side liquidity above highs: shorts' stops, breakout buy stops. Sell-side liquidity below lows: longs' stops, breakout sell stops.
After liquidity taken (sweep), price may reverse (stop hunt) or continue (breakout after stops cleared). Read the close after the sweep.
