Session Ranges and Boxes

Forex and futures traders divide 24 hours into Asia, London, New York (and Sydney). Each session creates a range with high and low. Subsequent sessions often sweep prior session extremes before establishing direction.

Manual routine: at London open, mark Asia high/low box. At NY open, mark London high/low. These boxes are session structure — breaks and sweeps reference them.

Asia range often tight — compression. London expansion — breakout or false break of Asia. NY continuation or reversal of London move.

Stock traders analog: pre-market range, cash open first hour range, midday balance, power hour. Same boxing concept.

Session boxes expire — delete after 2 sessions unless HTF level coincides.
