Fair Value Gap (FVG): a three-candle imbalance where candle one's high is below candle three's low (bullish FVG) or candle one's low is above candle three's high (bearish FVG). Thin air where price moved fast — often partially filled on retest.
Manual traders mark FVGs as potential pullback zones. Entry on tap into FVG with rejection in bias direction is common SMC entry model.
Premium/discount: split a defined range (swing low to swing high) at 50%. Above equilibrium is premium (favor sells in range context); below is discount (favor buys). In uptrend pullback, seek longs in discount; in downtrend rally, seek shorts in premium.
Dealing range selection matters. Use the current swing leg or weekly range — inconsistent range choice makes premium/discount meaningless.
FVGs eventually fill partially or fully. Not every tap reverses — HTF bias and liquidity narrative must align.
